Job Description
A. COMPANY DESCRIPTION
75+ year old branded OEM of hydraulic machinery. The Company designs and manufactures highly engineered hydraulic metalworking equipment used in a wide array of industries and applications. The Company generates ~$12 million of revenue, of which ~65% is from the sale of new capital equipment, and ~35% is from the sale of aftermarket parts and technical services sold to the installed base. The Company benefits from a reputable brand name in the industry, resulting in the opportunity to continue to capture incremental share in a large addressable market. We are investing in refreshing product lines to address a lower cost/higher volume section of the market and look forward to continuing this activity moving forward.
B. POSITION OVERVIEW
This position requires reading and interpreting blueprints to assemble products and parts according to specifications. You will use various tools and overhead cranes while ensuring the highest quality of the final product. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working closely with other departments to complete projects efficiently. The successful candidate must display:

Key Responsibilities of this position:
- Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
- Follow technical instructions, interpret/read engineering blueprints and technical terms to build Pacific equipment.
- Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Safely use necessary hand and power tools to perform required tasks
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Test finished products for defects.
- Maintain the tools used to create products.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Complete tasks assigned by Pacific Management
- Operate Safely overhead cranes and fork trucks
- Wiring Electrical panels to print
- Ability to accurately read gauges (analog, digital and dial indicator) and to properly set pressures.
- Troubleshooting
- Working from heights as necessary
- Crimping hydraulic hoses.
This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
C. REQUIRED SKILL SET
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Physical fitness and strength to lift items up to 50 pounds solo.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to differentiate colors.
- High mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
- Experience using analog and digital gauges for pressures and measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to work in variable temperatures (both indoor and outdoor scenarios)
- Must be able to work in tight or elevated spaces
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, or climb
D. OTHER POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES (NOT REQUIRED)
- 2+ years of experience in a technical position such as mechanical or electrical.
- Ability to Interpret technical documentation
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Electricity
- Fluid Power
- PLC’s
- Pumps/Motors
E. COMPENSATION.
- Hourly rate of $21 – $23 based on experience
- 401(k) with 4% match
